MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The annual Gold-Blue Game, which benefits WVU Children's Hospital, is this Saturday, April 26, at Mountaineer Field, marking the end of spring football drills for Coach Rich Rodriguez' squad.
The full-contact scrimmage kicks off at 12:30. Gates open at 11:30 a.m.; following the game, members of the football team will be available for an on-field autograph session. The game broadcast will also be available via the internet at www.MSNsportsNET.com.
All tickets to the Gold-Blue Game are $5, supporting WVU Children's Hospital. Game day ticket sales will begin at 11 a.m. WVU students will be admitted free with a valid ID. No coolers, backpacks or large bags will be allowed; all personal items are subject to inspection.
Free parking is available in most of the University lots surrounding the stadium. The parking lots closest to the WVU Hospitals will be first reserved for hospital patients and visitors. Access to Ruby Memorial Hospital will be limited as on game days.
Before the game, the WVU Alumni Association and the President's Office for Social Justice will offer their annual JamaicaFest tailgate. Jennifer McIntosh, Executive Officer for Social Justice, has mastered the art of Caribbean cooking; her jerk chicken and jerk pork will help raise money for WVU scholarships.
JamaicaFest begins at 10:30 a.m. in Tent City; cost is $10.00 per person, and $5.00 for children under 12. For JamaicaFest information, call the WVU Alumni Association at 304/293-4731.
