Women's Tennis: WVU Travels To UMBC

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (April 10, 2003) - The West Virginia University women's tennis team will travel to Baltimore, Md., for a non-conference match against UMBC on Saturday, April 12. First serve is set for 1 p.m., at the UMBC courts.
The Mountaineers are coming off a 7-0 victory over Duquesne. On the year, West Virginia is 10-9.
The Retrievers hold a record of 11-2 and have been ranked by the ITA various times throughout the year.
"UMBC is a tough team to play, especially on the road," says coach Dan Silverstein. "Our girls are playing very well and I think this will be an intense match."
