Baseball: WVU-Rutgers to Play Monday

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – After two days of bad weather, the West Virginia University baseball team will try to play Rutgers Monday in a noon doubleheader.
“We’ve got the snow melted off the field and the drains are working well,” said Mountaineer coach Greg Van Zant.
Forecasts for Monday are calling for partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the high 30s to low 40s.
Saturday’s doubleheader was canceled due to rain while Sunday’s twinbill was wiped out due to a Saturday night snowstorm.
The weekend series was the Big East opener for both teams.
West Virginia, 15-7, last played against Coppin State on Wednesday, March 26.
