MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women's tennis team will host a conference match against Georgetown on Saturday, March 29, at the Mountaineer Tennis Complex. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
The Mountaineers are coming off their second BIG EAST win, a victory over St. John's and, and are 6-8 overall and 2-3 in conference.
Junior Jennifer Watkins is two victories shy of a 20 win season (singles and doubles) and the No.1 and No.2 doubles teams combined have a 20-8 record.
The Hoyas are 4-3-1 on the season and 3-1-1 in the BIG EAST. After a three week break, Georgetown is coming off a 6-1 victory over Villanova.
"Georgetown is a much improved team so this will be a good test for us," said head coach Dan Silverstein. "I believe playing at home will give us the confidence we need to pull off a victory."
If there is inclement weather on Saturday, the match will be moved to the Monroeville Racquet Club in Pittsburgh, Pa.
