MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University men's tennis team is set to compete in this weekend's 13-team Anteater Classic in Irvine, Calif., at the Anteater Tennis Stadium and Park Newport.
WVU will open up the tournament with a 9 a.m., match against Missouri-Kansas City on Thursday, March 27.
The winner of that match will go on to play Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 9 a.m., on Friday, March 28, and the loser will face the loser of Hawaii vs. Southwest Missouri State at 1 p.m., also on Friday.
The championship match will be held at 1 p.m., on Sunday, March 30.
The Mountaineers (7-7) have won six of their last eight matches backed by the strong play of a young lineup that features just one senior, one freshman and five sophomores.
