MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Junior shooter Nicole Allaire received National Rifle Association (NRA) All-American honors for her efforts this year as a member of the West Virginia University rifle team.
Allaire received first team smallbore and second team air rifle honors. This is her third All-American honor.
Allaire was a member of the WVU firing squad that placed seventh overall and third in smallbore at the 2003 NCAA Championships. Individually, Allaire finished 11th in smallbore and ninth in air rifle.
Coach Marsha Beasley also received NRA Collegiate Shooting Coaches Recognition Award for outstanding service to collegiate shooting sports. A 13-year coaching veteran, Beasley has guided the Mountaineers to eight NCAA titles and had 28 shooters receive a total of 118 All-American awards. Beasley holds a coaching record of 146-8, a .954 winning percentage.
