MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - In its first ever home race, the West Virginia University women's rowing team sailed past Duquesne winning 12 out of 12 races this afternoon on the Monongahela River.
The Mountaineers came in first in the varsity eight, junior varsity eight and novice eight in all four heats.
"This was a perfect way to end our spring training season," said Coach Nancy LaRocque. "I couldn't be more pleased with the way the girls raced today."
West Virginia returns to action on April 5-6, when they travel to the San Diego Crew Classic in Mission Beach, Ca.
