MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women‘s rowing team will host Duquesne on Sunday, March 23, on the Monongahela River. The race beings at 1:30 p.m.
This is the first ever home race for the Mountaineers since the program began in 2000.
“Having our first home race will be great,“ said coach Nancy LaRocque. “Unfortunately, Duquesne has not had a lot of chances to row up in Pittsburgh because of the dangerous current. I feel confident that all of our boats will do well. We have finished up our selection for the 1st and 2nd varsity boats and the line-ups look great. This will give us a chance to work out our new race plans before we head out to San Diego.”
