Women's Tennis: WVU Downs Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The West Virginia University women's tennis team picked up its second win of the season over Lehigh this afternoon at the Lewis Tennis Center in Bethlehem, Pa. The Mountaineers defeated the Mountain Hawks 6-1.
West Virginia swept No.2 through No.6 singles matches with wins from senior Anna Marie Underwood, juniors Courtney Howell and Jennifer Watkins, and freshmen Catherine Koontz and Raynie Theis.
Underwood captured her 74th career win to move her up to 27th place in top career record and 17th place in career singles wins in the WVU women's tennis record book.
WVU swept all doubles matches with the duo of Underwood and Watkins improving their record together to 7-1.
The Mountaineers return to action on Friday, March 7, when they head to Charlotte, N.C., for a match against UNC Charlotte beginning at 2:30 p.m.
