Women's Tennis: WVU Travels To Hawaii

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - For the first time in school history, the West Virginia University women's tennis team will travel to Hawaii to play three matches against BYU-Hawaii, Hawaii, and Wyoming, March 15-18.
The Mountaineers' first match is set for Saturday, March 15, in Laie, Hawaii, against BYU-Hawaii. Ranked No.1 in Division II tennis, the Seasiders have won 39 consecutive matches. The first serve is set for 9:00 a.m.
On Monday, March 17, West Virginia will travel to Honolulu, Hawaii, to face the University of Hawaii. The match begins at 3:00 p.m. The Rainbow are 4-8 on the year.
West Virginia ends the trip with a match against Wyoming, in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Cowgirls hold a record of 6-3 and have won six of their last seven matches. The match is set for March 18, at 11:00 a.m. All matches are Hawaiian Standard Time.
"Hopefully we can ride the momentum of our three match win streak to Hawaii," said coach Dan Silverstein. "BYU is a very tough team and Hawaii is so strong. It is going to be exciting to watch the girls play against them."
