Gymnastics: WVU off to No. 11 Michigan

February 7, 2003 MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University's gymnastics team (4-1) travels to Ann Arbor, Mich., for a tri-meet with No. 11 Michigan (2-2) and No. 19 Kent State (6-2), Saturday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m., at Cliff Keen Arena.
February 7, 2003 MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University's gymnastics team (4-1) travels to Ann Arbor, Mich., for a tri-meet with No. 11 Michigan (2-2) and No. 19 Kent State (6-2), Saturday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m., at Cliff Keen Arena.
WVU is 3-9 all-time against Michigan and narrowly lost to the Wolverines at the WVU Coliseum last season 196.1 to 195.975. Michigan is coached by former Mountaineer Bev Plocki (1985-86-86C) who owns a 257-76 career mark in 14 seasons.
West Virginia is 16-8 all-time against Kent State, which lost to the Mountaineers in the season-opener at Pitt, 193.975-193.825. The Golden Flashes are coached by Brice Biggin who owns an 88-55 record in 13 seasons.
West Virginia is ranked sixth this week on vault and is led by senior TeShawne Jackson who has posted at least a 9.9 in three consecutive meets on the apparatus so far this season.
