Football: 2003 Slate Released

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University athletic director Ed Pastilong has announced the 2003 West Virginia University football schedule.
The Mountaineers open the 2003 slate at home on Saturday, August 30, when WVU hosts Wisconsin at Mountaineer Field. Other home games are against Pitt, Virginia Tech, Rutgers, Temple, Cincinnati and Central Florida. Road contests are at Miami, Boston College, Syracuse, Maryland and East Carolina.
"This is an exceptional seven-game home schedule for our fans, and we are particularly excited about opening at home with Wisconsin," Pastilong says.
Homecoming will be November 1 against Central Florida and Mountaineer Day will be November 15 against Pitt. The October 11 game on Rutgers will be Parents Day, and Varsity Day will be September 13 versus Cincinnati. The complete 2003 football schedule:
