MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University forward Drew Schifino has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I All-District team for the 2002-03 season.
The sophomore from Pittsburgh was named to the District 4 team and was one of 14 BIG EAST players named to the all-district teams. Other players on the District 4 team included Mike Sweetney (Georgetown), Chris Monroe (George Washington), Ricardo Marsh (Old Dominion) and Adam Hess (William & Mary). Schifino is one of 75 student-athletes named to the first team.
Nominated and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, the 150 student-athletes from 15 districts are now eligible for the NABC Division I All-American team to be announced at the conclusion of the 2002-03 regular season.
