MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University's women's basketball team plays host to Robert Morris (1-3) in a non-conference matchup, Saturday, Dec. 6, at 4 p.m., at the WVU Coliseum. West Virginia is looking to extend its win streak to four games.
The Mountaineers (5-1) lead the all-time series with the Colonials by a 15-1 margin and have won seven straight. Last year, WVU scored the second most points in school history with a 114-45 victory in Moon Township, Pa. In that matchup, WVU shot a school-best 71.7 percent (43-60) from the field in the victory.
WVU is paced by senior guards Sherell Sowho and Kate Bulger, averaging 18.5 and 15.5 points per game respectively.
The Mountaineers are fresh off a 60-38 victory at Wright State where Sowho netted her 10th career 20-point scoring effort against the Raiders. Latitia Williams set six career highs in the victory and notched her first career double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
