Volleyball: WVU Falls to Pitt

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The WVU volleyball team (6-19, 2-8) dropped a 3-0 (30-22, 30-25, 30-23) match to BIG EAST rival Pitt (20-4, 9-1), Friday evening at the Fitzgerald Field House.
Wendy Hatlestad paced the Panthers with 14 kills, seven digs and five blocks while Lindsay Macke added 20 assists and 10 digs.
For the Mountaineers, junior Alison Zemanski had nine kills and three blocks while sophomore Kelly Mullins notched seven kills and 12 digs.
Junior setter Brandice Studnicka tallied 22 assists to complement seven digs and three kills for WVU.
The Mountaineers return to action on Saturday, Nov. 15, when they take on conference-leading Notre Dame, at 11 a.m., in the WVU Coliseum.
