Women's Soccer: Ready For BIG EAST Semifinal

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No.7 West Virginia University women's soccer team (15-3-1) travels to Rutgers' Yurcak Field for a BIG EAST semifinal match against Villanova (14-5-1) on Friday, November 7, at 7 p.m.
The Mountaineers defeated St. John's 2-1 on Sunday, November 2, to advance to the semifinal match for the third straight season. Villanova advanced with a 1-0 upset of Connecticut in Storrs, Conn., last Sunday as well.
West Virginia and Villanova played to a scoreless tie during the 2003 regular season. WVU out shot the Wildcats 21-17, but neither team found the offensive rhythm necessary to find the back of the net.
The match will be broadcast live on MSNsportsNET.com and LiveStats will also be available. The semifinal game between WVU and Villanova can be seen on CSTV on tape delay on November 8, at 7:00 p.m.
The winner of the contest will play for the BIG EAST championship title on Sunday, Nov. 9, at noon against the winner of the other semifinal match between Boston College and Notre Dame. Fox Sports Pittsburgh will air the match on a one hour same-day delay starting at 1:00 p.m.
