MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia (7-4/5-1) plays host to Temple (1-10/0-6) on Saturday, Nov. 29, in a 1 p.m. Big East game at Mountaineer Field in Morgantown. The game will not be televised.

Single game tickets remain and can be purchased Friday by calling the Mountaineer Ticket Office toll-free at 1-800 WVU GAME or by visiting www.WVUGAME.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the stadium on game day.
Nineteen seniors will be making their final home appearance at Mountaineer Field on Saturday. They are Scott Beresford, Fred Blueford, Moe Fofana, Lance Frazier, Travis Garvin, Todd James, Tory Johnson, Adam King, Brian King, Geoff Lewis, Joe Mirault, Aaron Neal, Ben Timmons, Ed Velickoff, Leandre Washington, Shawn Whitmire, Grant Wiley, Quincy Wilson and James Woodruff.
West Virginia has assured itself of its 70th winning football season in school history with its victory last Saturday against Syracuse and is vying for a share of the Big East Conference title this weekend against Temple.
Here is Saturday’s Countdown to Kickoff:
10 – West Virginia has had TEN plays covering 50 yards or longer this year. WVU’s longest play was a 93-yard, Rasheed Marshall to Travis Garvin touchdown pass against Virginia Tech.
9 – West Virginia has now had NINE scoring drives this year spanning 10 plays or longer. West Virginia’s longest scoring is 13 plays done three times against Wisconsin, Rutgers and Central Florida.
8 – Temple quarterback Walter Washington has had positive rushing yards in each of his last EIGHT games this season. Washington has carried the football 89 times for 418 yards, an average of 4.7 yards per carry.
7 – The West Virginia secondary has had at least one interception in SEVEN of its last eight games. WVU has also had more than one interception in a game six times this season.
6 – Running back Quincy Wilson has rushed for more than 100 yards in SIX of West Virginia’s 11 games this year. Wilson cracked the 100-yard mark against East Carolina (147), Rutgers (177), Virginia Tech (178), Central Florida (135), Pitt (208) and Syracuse (105).
5 – West Virginia quarterback Rasheed Marshall is looking for his FIFTH 200-yard passing game Saturday against Temple. For the first time in his career, the junior has produced back-to-back 200-yard passing games against Pitt and Syracuse. During that stretch he has thrown for 487 yards and five touchdowns.
4 – Temple has defeated West Virginia FOUR times in Morgantown, the last being in 2001, a 17-14 decision. Temple’s other victories in Morgantown came in 1935, 1974 and 1979.
3 – THREE of the last four West Virginia-Temple games have been decided by five points or less. Prior to last year’s 46-20 win by West Virginia, the Mountaineers edged Temple 20-17 in Morgantown in 1999, won 29-24 in Philadelphia in 2000 and lost 17-14 in Morgantown in 2001.
2 – A victory Saturday by West Virginia will give the Mountaineers their SECOND Big East title. The Mountaineers won the Big East outright in 1993.
1 – West Virginia ranks FIRST in the Big East in turnover margin at plus 16. That figure also ranks the Mountaineers fourth nationally.
