MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University's women's basketball team plays host to non-conference foe East Carolina, Sunday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m., at the WVU Coliseum.
WVU (1-0) is fresh off its 77-57 win against Bucknell Friday at home. East Carolina is opening its season aginst the Mountaineers.
ECU owns a 2-0 series lead against WVU. The Pirates and Mountaineers are renewing acquiantances for the first time since 1981, a 106-76 ECU victory in Greenville, N.C.
Senior guards Kate Bulger and Sherell Sowho paced the Mountaineers with 19 points each against Bucknell on Friday. Four Mountaineers scored in double-digits.
The game will be broadcast live on WAJR 1440 AM and also on WWVU 91.7 FM (U-92), both in Morgantown. The live broadcast is also available through www.MSNsportsNET.com
After its matchup with the Pirates, WVU heads to the Paradise Jam Tournament in the U.S. Virgin Islands on St. Thomas, Nov. 27-29. WVU takes on Southwest Missouri State, Georgia Tech and James Madison in the three day tournament.
