Football: Pitt Award Winners

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The following West Virginia University football players were selected as weekly award winners by the WVU coaching staff for their play in the 52-31 win over No. 16 Pitt:

Offensive Champions -- QUINCY WILSON and JOHN PENNINGTON; Defensive Champions – GRANT WILEY and ADAM LEHNORTT; Special Teams Champion -- LANCE FRAZIER; Scout Team Champions – FREDDIE LITTLE (offense); L.J. MONTINAR and VAUGHN RIVERS (defense); Hammer Award -- LANCE FRAZIER and KAY-JAY HARRIS.

West Virginia travels to Syracuse this Saturday for a noon game that will be televised by ESPN2.
