Football: BC Award Winners

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The following West Virginia University football players were selected as weekly award winners by the WVU coaching staff for their play in the 35-28 win at Boston College:

Offensive Champion -- CHARLES HALES; Defensive Champion – SCOTT GYORKO; Special Teams Champion -- ADAM JONES; Scout Team Champions – NELSON DEVENZIN (offense); MATT HOLSOPPLE (defense).

West Virginia plays host to Pitt in the 96th edition of the "Backyard Brawl" this Saturday at Mountaineer Field. The game is set for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff and will be televised by ESPN2; no tickets remain for that contest.
