CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The WVU volleyball team was defeated by BIG EAST foe Miami, 3-0 (30-23, 30-17, 30-24), Friday evening at the Knight Complex.
Kelly Mullins missed out on her sixth straight double-double match by just one dig, as she recorded a team-high 12 kills and nine digs.
Junior Brandice Studnicka added three kills, 32 assists, and 12 digs while Julie Hockenson notched six kills and three blocks.
Elizabeth Tyson had 13 kills and nine digs to pace the Hurricanes.
The Mountaineers (6-17, 2-6) now travel to Blacksburg, Va., to take on Virginia Tech on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m.
