Women's Soccer: Weekly Rankings

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Having posted a 1-1 week to close the regular season, the West Virginia University women's soccer team (14-3-1, 4-1-1) remained in solid position in this week's national rankings.
The Mountaineers finished BIG EAST competition with a 2-1 win over Pitt at the Mountaineer Soccer Complex, before closing out the regular season with a 4-1 loss to Penn State.
West Virginia remained the No.7 team in the latest Soccer America poll and likewise did not move from its No.10 slot in the latest SoccerBuzz slate.
WVU fell three spots from eighth-ranked to 11th-ranked in this week's NSCAA rankings.
This week marks the 19th-straight week, dating back to September 23, 2002, that the Mountaineers have been ranked in the national Top 25.
West Virginia returns to action in the opening round of the BIG EAST tournament on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m., against St. John's at the Mountaineer Soccer Complex.
