Volleyball: WVU Travels to Youngstown St.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The WVU volleyball team will hit the road to face non-conference foe Youngstown State on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m., at the Beeghly Center in Youngstown, Ohio.
The Mountaineers (4-14, 1-4) are coming off a solid 3-1 victory over Connecticut, their first BIG EAST win, last Sunday.
Sophomore Kelly Mullins registered a double-double (15 kills, 15 digs) while junior Alison Zemanski fell just short of a triple-double with 14 kills, eight digs and seven total blocks.
The win was also No. 501 in coach Veronica Hammersmith's career.
Outside hitter Stephanie Zolna leads the Mountaineers with 229 kills on the season while setter Brandice Studnicka has tallied 557 assists to pace the team.
WVU will play another non-conference road match at Robert Morris on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m., before returning home on Friday, Oct. 24, to host Rutgers, at 7:30 p.m.
