BC kept a five-point advantage for most of the second half until a three by Bulger closed the score to two, 56-54.
Another runner by Bulger pulled West Virginia to within three, 59-56 with 4:17 left, but West Virginia could muster just one more field goal over the remaining 4:17.
Boston College made 6 of 8 free throws down the stretch to hold on to the eight-point victory.
Bulger made just 5 of 19 field goal attempts, including 1 of 7 from three-point distance. Combined with her 3 of 14 shooting performance last Wednesday against Marshall, the junior has made just 8 of her last 33 field goal attempts (24.2 percent).
Overall the Mountaineers made 27 of 61 field goal attempts for 44.3 percent while Boston College hit 25 of 63 shot attempts for 39.7 percent.

BC has won all 12 meetings against West Virginia since the Mountaineers joined the Big East in 1995.
West Virginia will try to pick up its first conference win next Wednesday at the WVU Coliseum against Seton Hall. The Pirates are currently 9-6 after today’s 64-54 victory over Providence.
