MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team (7-0) will play the first of a two-game homestand on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 5 p.m., against Wright State (1-5) at the WVU Coliseum.
The Mountaineers enter the match looking to remain one of the 11 undefeated schools in the nation. West Virginia most recently extended its record-setting win streak by defeating Ohio 81-47 last Sunday in Athens, Ohio.
Junior guard Kate Bulger is one of four double-figure West Virginia scorers with a team-leading average of 18.1 points per game. Bulger is now 51 points shy of becoming the school's 21st 1,000-point scorer.
West Virginia is 2-2 all-time against Wright State. Last season, WVU defeated the Raiders 90-53 at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio.
Following the Wright State contest, the Mountaineers return take on Duquesne at the WVU Coliseum for a 7 p.m. matchup. The game is the second-half of a double-header with WVU men's squad.
