MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia hosts Boston College in a noon Big East game on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Mountaineer Field in Morgantown. The game will be televised nationally by ESPN.

Saturday’s game also marks the final home appearance for West Virginia’s 22 seniors: Phil Braxton, Avon Cobourne, Ben Collins, Lewis Daniels, James Davis, Jason Davis, Zack Dillow, Angel Estrada, Mark Fazzolari, Kevin Freeman, Darnell Glover, Arthur Harrison, Tim Love, Charlie MacInnis, Bill Martin, A.J. Nastasi, Lance Nimmo, Michael Page, Ken Sandor, Derrick Smith, Jermaine Thaxton and David Upchurch.

10 – West Virginia has had TEN plays cover 39 yards or longer this season. However, West Virginia’s longest play against Temple covered only 28 yards.
9 – West Virginia has produced at least 300 yards of total offense in all NINE games this year. Among Big East teams, only the Mountaineers and Miami have had at least 300 yards of total offense in every game this season.
8 – West Virginia has had EIGHT scoring drives last 13 plays or more this season. Last weekend at Temple, the Mountaineers opened the game with a 13-play, 81-yard scoring drive that took 5:49 off the game clock.
7 – West Virginia quarterback Rasheed Marshall is tied with four other players for SEVENTH place on the school’s single-season rushing touchdowns list with 10. Marshall has scored a rushing TD in each of his last four games.
6 – Two times this year Boston College has benefited from SIX opponent turnovers in victories against Stanford and Navy. The Eagles benefited from five turnovers in last week’s win at No. 4 Notre Dame.

3 – Boston College has committed just THREE turnovers in its last three games against Navy, Pitt and Notre Dame. The Eagles have committed 17 turnovers for the season and have a plus-5 advantage for their turnover ratio.
2 – West Virginia running back Avon Coborne is just TWO yards shy of tying North Carolina State’s Ted Brown for 19th on the NCAA all-time rushing list. Brown gained 4,602 yards from 1975-78.
1 – West Virginia continues to LEAD the nation in rushing with an average of 297.3 yards per game. West Virginia has rushed for 300 or more yards in a game four times this season.
