MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Kate Glusko, a freshman member of the West Virginia University women's basketball team, will miss the 2002-03 season after undergoing successful surgery to repair a torn ACL in her left knee yesterday. The 5-foot-ard will take a medical redshirt this season.
A native of State College, Pa., Glusko is State College High's all-time leading scorer with over 1,600 points and was a 2001 USA Today player to watch.
Glusko is the second member of the Mountaineer women's basketball to miss the 2002-03 season. Junior college transfer Ramkia McGee incurred the same injury to the same knee in September and will also take a medical redshirt this season.
