MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Season tickets for West Virginia’s 2002-03 basketball season are now on sale, athletic director Ed Pastilong announced today.
The Mountaineers will play 14 games at the WVU Coliseum, including eight BIG EAST contests and eight weekend games. BIG EAST conference rivals Georgetown, Pitt, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Miami, Virginia Tech, Seton Hall and Rutgers, plus six additional non-conference teams including Tennessee, will all visit Morgantown this season.
The price of a season ticket is $196. It is a savings of $16 versus the cost of purchasing each ticket individually.
Mountaineer Athletic Club members and past season ticket holders must order their tickets by November 5 to reserve priority seating. Order forms are being mailed to MAC members and past season ticket holders. Faculty/staff can purchase up to six season tickets at the discounted price of $157 each.
The popular Six-Pack Flex Plan will again be offered. Fans can purchase six coupons good for any game on the schedule for just $50. All six coupons may be used for one game, or at six different games.
WVU is also featuring the BIG EAST mini-package, which offers six BIG EAST games (Miami, Pitt, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Georgetown, Virginia Tech) for just $96.
Another package is the Weekend mini-package, which allows fans to purchase tickets to six weekend games (Tennessee, Syracuse, Seton Hall, Virginia Tech, UNC Greensboro, Wofford) for $88.
To order 2002-03 season tickets or any of the three packages, call 1-800-WVU GAME or visit the Mountaineer Ticket Office in the WVU Coliseum. Single game tickets will go on sale Nov. 6.
