Homestand Concludes Saturday Night for No. 14 WVU

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 14 West Virginia University men's soccer team wraps up a three-game homestand against UCF on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. ET, at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
Admission will be free for all fans, courtesy of WVU Medicine. The match comes after the WVU football team hosts East Carolina at noon.

Ranked No. 14 nationally, the Mountaineers (3-0-1) are unbeaten in their first four games to open the 2017 season. WVU is coming off a 0-0 draw in double overtime to Monmouth on Monday afternoon, which snapped a three-game win streak to open the season.
The Knights (1-2-0) come to Morgantown after a 4-0 win at Jacksonville on Monday. UCF had been shut out in its first two games, 2-0 at Duke and 1-0 vs. Elon before the road victory.
Senior Jad Arslan's three game-winning goals leads the country, while he is No. 1 in the Mid-American Conference and 10th nationally with four goals. He also leads the league with 1.00 goals per game and eight total points. Junior Jorge Quintanilla is fourth nationally and No. 1 in the MAC with four assists, while he is fourth in the conference with six points.
In goal, junior Stephen Banick is fifth in the NCAA with three shutouts, while his 0.237 goals-against average and .929 save percentage are second in the MAC and 10th and 11th in the nation, respectively. Banick also ranks No. 2 in the league with 13 saves.
SCOUTING UCF
UCF comes to Morgantown with a 1-2 record following a 4-0 win at Jacksonville on Monday. The season began with a 2-0 loss at Duke and a 1-0 defeat to Elon in Durham, North Carolina, before the victory in Jacksonville.
The Knights are led by Scott Calabrese, who is in his first season at the helm. He comes to Orlando from FIU, where he guided the Panthers to a 2015 Conference USA championship and the team's first NCAA Tournament appearance in 10 years. In 10 years as a head coach, Calabrese is 86-69-20.
Matias Pyysalo leads UCF with three goals, six points, 12 shots and seven shots on goal. Yonatan Sorokin has also scored a goal for the Knights, and is one of three players with one assist. In goal, Yannik Oettl has played all 270 minutes, making 13 saves with one shutout. He has a 1.00 goals-against average and an .813 save percentage.
