Women's Soccer: WVU Ranked No. 23

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s soccer team returned to the national rankings this week with a No. 23 ranking in the Soccer America poll. The Mountaineers received 30 votes in today’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll.
West Virginia carries an 11-4-1 record after a pair of home wins against Villanova and Georgetown last weekend. The win over the Hoyas also marked the program’s 200th win as West Virginia has run off seven consecutive victories – the most since beginning the 2006 season at 7-0.
WVU closes out the regular season with a pair of home contests, beginning on Friday, Oct. 24, against BIG EAST foe Connecticut in a match presented by EZToUse.com. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive a FREE gold t-shirt courtesy of EZToUse.com.
