Swimming: Mountaineers Wrap Up NCAAs

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University swimming and diving team wrapped up the final day of competition at the 2008 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, today at Ohio State.
Sophomore Morgan Callaway started the day off for the Mountaineers finishing 25th in the 200 back with a time of 1:57.49.
Sophomore Kayla Andrews then finished the 100 free in 35th with a time of 44.83. Junior Lindsey Largo capped off the day stopping the clock at 16.29.89, in the 1650 free.
The Mountaineers posted a third-place finish at the BIG EAST Championships this year while breaking 14 school records and sending three swimmers to the NCAA Championships.
For the men’s team, senior swimmer Kevin Donohue will represent WVU at the 2008 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships on March 27-29 at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash. Donohue will be competing in the 100 and 200 breast.
