Lauren Reda joins the West Virginia University women’s basketball program as the coordinator of player development. Reda previously served as a team manager from 2012-2015.
Reda, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, native, will assist with the coordination of on-campus recruiting activities, organize community service efforts and serve as the Mountaineers’ liaison to the academic services unit.
Most recently, Reda served as a graduate assistant for the WVU Varsity Club. She organized alumni reunions, coordinated tailgate events and promoted the events on the organization’s website and social media platforms. Reda worked extensively with alumni from around the country to help promote events nationally. Additionally, she assisted with administrative tasks including database management and membership updates.
As a team manager, Reda assisted the team with marketing and recruiting efforts. She traveled with the team and kept statistics for practices. Reda also contributed to summer camps, campus tours and the team marketing efforts.
Reda also served as an intern for the Upper St. Clair Community Recreation Center in Pittsburgh and the Rodgers Insurance Group.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in sport management in 2015 and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in coaching and sport education.
