After serving a three-year stint as assistant to the head coach, Pat Biondo added an additional role as WVU’s director of basketball operations in the 2015-16 and returns for his second year in that role. Overall, Biondo has been a part of the Mountaineer women’s basketball program for eight years.
A native of Clarence, New York, Biondo is responsible for all of the team’s day-to-day operations, travel and other duties as assigned.
Biondo coordinated all video needs, opponent and self-scouts, film exchange and assisted with basketball operations for three seasons before stepping into his new role.
Prior to this stint with the women’s team, Biondo served as the head manager for the WVU men’s team under coach John Beilein from 2004-07. His responsibilities included being team videographer and assisting in daily practice needs.
Biondo graduated from WVU in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic coaching. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in educational leadership from the College of Human Resources and Education at WVU.
