WVU to Host Alumni Weekend

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team will host former players and coaches in Morgantown on Oct. 13-14 for Volleyball Alumni Weekend. All alumni will be honored during the team's match against Oklahoma on Friday, Oct. 13.
"We've run into several alums on the recruiting trail and thought it would be great to get everyone back to town for the weekend," coach Reed Sunahara said. "These are the players and coaches who laid the foundation for our program, and I think it's great for our current team to be able to interact with them. I look forward to seeing everyone back in Morgantown."
The weekend will start at the team's 6 p.m. tilt with OU on Friday, followed by a social at Kegler's after the conclusion of the match. Former players will take the floor on Saturday morning for an alumni match before heading to the Varsity Club Tailgate Tent outside Milan Puskar Stadium. Alums are invited to watch WVU football take on Texas Tech that afternoon at a time to be determined.
The cost of the weekend is $50. Included in that cost is a WVU volleyball t-shirt, tickets to the WVU-OU volleyball match, a ticket to the WVU-TTU football game, food and drinks at both Kegler's and the Varsity Club Tent as well as membership to the WVU Varsity Club. Additional football tickets may be purchased through the Varsity Club.
Alumni interested in attending the reunion can register through the Varsity Club by contacting Chiara Pulice at cmpulice@mail.wvu.edu or 304-293-9563. The deadline to RSVP for guaranteed t-shirts and football tickets is Sept. 20.
