"We're really excited to get to take our guys out to Hawaii this weekend," WVU coach Sean Covich said. "Not only will this be a memorable trip, but we also play some great teams in this tournament. Most recently, he topped several top-100 golfers to finish 11th at The Tavistock Collegiate Invitational in Windermere, Florida. He boasts a low round of 66 twice this season, tying his own program record.
In his sophomore season, Papineau ranks second with a 72.11 scoring average. Nicholls is averaging 73.89 strokes per round, while Sharpstene and Matlari each boast 74.22 scoring averages in their first season at West Virginia.
