MORGANTOWN, W.Va – The West Virginia University women's tennis team will compete in its lone home tournament of the fall, as they host the Martha Thorn Invitational from Oct. 20-22, in Morgantown, West Virginia.
James Madison, Miami (Ohio) and the Mountaineers will compete in singles and doubles matches over the course of the three-day tournament. All matches will take place at the WVU tennis courts, located behind the WVU Coliseum.
"It's always nice to be able to host a tournament at home," coach Miha Lisac said. "We are very thankful to James Madison and Miami (OH) for participating in the tournament. We are looking for a lot of competitive opportunities this weekend and our main goal is to continue to get better."
On Friday and Saturday, the Mountaineers will begin competition with six singles match against Miami at 10 a.m. In the afternoon session, WVU will then close out each day of competition with doubles matches against the RedHawks and Dukes.
Sunday, WVU and Miami will compete in six singles matches beginning at 9 a.m. on Sunday. WVU will then wrap up the three-day tournament with doubles matches against JMU.

"Our second goal for the tournament is to make a positive impact within our community," Lisac noted. "We are fortunate that we are able to team up with the visiting teams, and we will make a joint donation to the Norma Mae Huggins Foundation."
