WVU’s Senior Night Match vs. Akron Moved to 6 p.m.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men's soccer team's senior night match against Akron on Friday, Oct. 27, has been moved up to 6 p.m. ET.
The match, originally scheduled for 7 p.m., will begin one hour earlier to allow fans to attend both the regular-season home finale at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium and the men's basketball team's Gold-Blue Debut at 7:30 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum.
Prior to the contest against Akron, the team will honor its senior class. Tickets are available at WVUGAME.com, 1-800-WVU GAME or on game day at the Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium ticket office.
West Virginia, currently ranked No. 15 in the nation, returns home for a top-15 matchup against No. 8 Western Michigan on Friday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. ET. Tickets are available at WVUGAME.com, 1-800-WVU GAME or at the Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium ticket office.
The Mountaineers (7-3-4, 0-0-2 Mid-American Conference) re-entered the national rankings thanks to a 1-0 upset over No. 5 Michigan State on Oct. 11. Eighth-ranked Western Michigan (12-2-1, 2-0-0 MAC) comes to Morgantown ranked in the top 12 in all four major polls.
Friday night's top-15 contest is Social Media Night, and the team's social media accounts, @WVUMensSoccer on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, will be giving away prizes all week, while, free t-shirts will be given out at the game, with instructions on how to win posted on social media this week.
