WVU Plays Host to Alumni vs. Oklahoma Friday Evening

The West Virginia University volleyball team will play host to its alumni on Friday, Oct. 13, as the squad squares off against Big 12 foe Oklahoma in a 6 p.m. ET tilt.
In honor of Alumni Weekend, the Mountaineers will recognize several former student-athletes throughout the match. The first 500 fans through the gate will receive a free rally towel, as the team will host a free autograph session to all fans at the conclusion of the match.
Here are five things you need to know for Friday night's match vs. the Sooners:
On Saturday, the WVU volleyball team will provide breakfast prior to the alumni match starting at 8 a.m. inside the WVU Coliseum. Following the match, a shuttle bus will be available to take its alumni from the Coliseum over to Milan Puskar Stadium for $4 round trip. Additionally, another alumni event will take place prior to kickoff at the Varsity Club/Coca-Cola Tent held in the Blue Lot. Saturday also is Homecoming, as well as Stripe the Stadium game, presented by WVU Medicine Children's. Fans sitting in even sections and upper level WVU students are encouraged to wear gold, while fans in odd sections and lower level WVU students are encouraged to wear blue. All alumni will sit in section 204 – a gold section – with the football game scheduled to begin at noon ET.

- All alumni must enter at the WVU Coliseum Gold Gate. Be sure to check in with the marketing team at the welcome table, located at the Gold Gate entrance.
- The Mountaineers will have reserved seating for its returning alumni, located in the baseline section of the WVU Coliseum.
- Alumni that played from 1980-1999 will be recognized between sets one and two, while alumni from 2000-2016 will be announced between sets two and three.
- Please remain in your seats following the conclusion of the match, as the WVU volleyball squad will take a team photo with its returning members.
- Once the team photo is completed, WVU will host an alumni event at Keglers, located at 735 Chestnut Ridge Rd., at 7:30 p.m. Please use the clubhouse entrance, as the event will be held in the basement of the restaurant.
